Graphic Insertion Considerations
Keep the following considerations in mind when you are inserting a graphic element:
- The supported graphic file formats are: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, jfif, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .dib
- You can insert a graphic element into a trigger element, a section element or a paragraph element
- You can insert a graphic element outside of any other element, except if you are working in a paragraph list document, in which case you must insert the graphic into a paragraph element
- Ensure Text Wrapping is set to In Line with Text; to display this option, right-click the graphic and select Text Wrapping
- If you insert a graphic resource from a workspace definition file (WDF), it may be displayed as a "placeholder" image
Maintaining Local Graphic Copies
We strongly recommend keeping copies of all the required graphic files in your assigned Graphics folder to ensure that the original graphic images are displayed in all your Documaker documents.
Although you can include placeholder images in a Documaker document, this is not recommended, because it does not visually indicate how the final document will appear or confirm that you have selected the correct graphic.
For security reasons, however, certain actual graphic images, such as signatures, should not be used. For these graphics, only a placeholder image should be used.
